This haunted house is not average, and whats inside tells a untold story, recently,
the grounds of Haunted Acres Manor have taken many victims, some say the
master -the creator- got bored, with his novelty scares so he created this haunted
house. But the man in charge no longer craves just a scare, let the previous
victims be a hint and let the residents ward you off for what is known to the
residents of Southeast Texas as:
Haunted Acres Manor.

Back to the roots (if you will).  In 2000 Jake's Haunted House was created.  It
featured scenes from graveyards, morgues and a "butcher's market."  The
essence of the haunted house included strobe lights, black lights, cobwebs and a
few corpses -of course.  But as technology and times changed we decided we
needed more.  So every October the "Nightmare of the Bayou" returns.  And
Jake's home is transformed into a Halloween world.  With air blown inflatable's,
graves, flood lights, and scary music for the poor souls that dare cross that house
in Port Acres.  In 2005 we went through another change.  A new name!  We
thought it was appropriate because Jake was graduating from Monsignor Kelly
High School and because after Hurricane Rita ....EVERYTHING NEEDED A
FACE-LIFT.  Even though Hurricane Rita corresponded and occurred around
September it was still a urgency to have Halloween prepared.  And with great
news Halloween was not canceled for this haunted house.  We had around 125
ghouls and goblins trek through our haunted house.  And we knew that even
though clean up was still occurring that this would be a great way to allow the
community to set those thoughts aside and have some treats and scares.

Now come 2007.  Of course Halloween only happens once a year, so what is
there to do the other 364 days out of the year--- PLAN.  Before Halloween ended
last year our Master of Scares was plotting and thinking of new themes and ideas
to bring out for Halloween 2007.  And a new idea was, once again... ANOTHER
NAME CHANGE.  We believe this name is very suiting:  HAUNTED ACRES MANOR.
Like it?  Well after over-whelming response from the online Halloween communities
and friends and family we picked this new name.  A new feature this year as well is
the location.  And they say location is everything, right?  Well let us make two
points.  The Haunted Acres Manor franchise features two productions:
* HAUNTED ACRES MANOR --- Haunted House &
* BAYOU TERROR  --- Pre-Halloween Yard Display

Haunted Acres Manor haunted house is opened only one day out of the year,
Halloween.  Where-as The Nightmare of the Bayou occurs the whole entire month
of October.  If you need directions please feel free to access the DIRECTIONS by
selecting it on the navigation above.

Haunted Acres Manor is a event hosted every year for Southeast Texas.  It is
hosted by Master Jake, his family and friends.  We are able to host this event
every year because of the generosity of our sponsors, so please show patronage
to them.  Other than the funds provided by the sponsors a lot of the supplies,
directions and treats come from out-of-pocket cost.  So please, if you do get
"scared silly" and enjoy Haunted Acres Manor you are more than welcome to
make a contribut
ion to the fright known as
HAUNTED ACRES MANOR.
About the Manor, the "Boss" and.. the FEAR
Follow "The Bayou Butcher" on
You've seen the news, you've read the headlines and you've
heard the screams.. and it's true they're all brought to you by
the one and only
Bayou Butcher.

He has found a place to call home, and the resident's of the
manor are horrified to have him as a neighbor.  Now, it is true
that he has a bit of a past, but we all do.. right? The Bayou
Butcher is the legend of Southeast Texas as being the worst
serial-killer this area has ever seen and is believed to be dead.
Most of his victims can be found doing leisurely things, mostly
fishing.  As you can tell, Haunted Acres Manor lies very close to
Taylors Bayou which is where the butcher finds most of his
victims.  It's true with the recent hurricane it has completely
messed up two things in the bayou: the fish and how many
victim's The Bayou Butcher finds.. but that doesn't stop him.  He's
had to trek out of his bayou setting from time to time to quench
his slaughtering needs.
And guess what..he might be coming to a city near..
YOU!!!
..But in the meantime you find him @ home
@ Haunted Acres Manor during the whole month of October!
